The Team

Florent

My name is Florent, I’m a French native with a strong passion for WWII history.

I traveled around the United States for three years interviewing WWII veterans in order to preserve their stories and show my gratitude for what they did to liberate my country.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history in 2011 (University Pierre Mendès France, Grenoble) and a master’s degree in Business and Tourism in 2014 (University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble).

I previously worked for the Normandy American Cemetery and as a tour guide for Bayeux Shuttle doing tours on the battle fields of Normandy.

Jenny

My name is Jenny, I’m a U.S. transplant recently moved here to France. I have a love of history and a very deep respect for our veterans, past and present.

I was previously working at the National D-Day Memorial where I served for over 7 years. I started as a volunteer and was Director of Site Operations at the time of my departure.

While working at the Memorial I graduated from Central Virginia Community College with an Associates in Business.

I grew up in the beautiful small town of Bedford, VA. During the D-Day invasion my town lost more men per capita than any other town in the United States.

I have a strong connection with the historic places here in Normandy, specifically Omaha beach where so many young men from my town paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Our Story

Flo and Jenny met in 2015 at the National D-Day Memorial. It was during Flo’s travels in the United States, that he decided to visit the Memorial and consequently they met. During this brief meeting Flo asked to keep in touch “professionally” the rest is history.

Jenny moved in 2019 to France and we now work side by side helping visitors experience the battle sites in Normandy, along with preserving the stories of WWII veterans for the next generation.
